What treatments are available? I offer a range of holistic bodywork and therapies, including Relaxing and Therapeutic Massage, Ayurvedic Yoga Massage (AYM), Lomi Lomi, Hot Stone Massage, Indian Head Massage, Thai Foot Massage, Pre/Post Natal Massage, Holistic Facial treatment, Reiki (in-person and distance). Full descriptions of each treatment, including what to expect, are on the Offerings page.
What treatment is right for me? If you're not sure where to start, get in touch and I can talk you through the options based on what you're looking for — whether that's deep relaxation, physical tension relief, or something more energetic like Reiki or sound healing.
Do you do very deep pressure? I am trained in deep tissue massage and I do blend some of these techniques in my treatments, but if it's a very firm, deep pressure that you're looking for, I may not be the right therapist for you. Please have a look on my Offerings page for details of my style of working and get in touch with any questions.

I'm currently taking on new male clients by referral only. If any of my existing female clients can refer you, please get in touch providing all details.

Why choose Petal Talk Threrapies over another pratcitioner? As an Integrative Therapist for Women, specialising in burnout, stress reduction, and deep tension release, I help stressed and anxious women find real rest, not just a temporary escape. With 7 years of experience and training across a range of modalities, my approach is also gently shaped by personal experience of my own.
What's your approach as a therapist? Every session is a unique multisensory experience - a blend of skilled body massage, deep relaxation techniques, sound healing and aromatherapy — thoughtfully tailored to you, because your body and your story deserve more than a one-size-fits-all routine. This is your time to be truly seen, cared for, and celebrated.

How do I book a session? You can book directly through the website, it will take you to my booking system Fresha. You will receive an email/text message from Fresha requesting a 50% deposit which must be paid to confirm your appointment. Alternatively, get in touch by email/WhatsApp if you'd like to talk through which treatment is right for you first.
What's your cancellation/rescheduling policy? A 50% deposit will be taken upon booking and this is non-refundable. If you need to reschedule your appointment, I require 48 hours' notice, and your deposit will be moved to the new appointment. If you cancel or reschedule with less than 48 hours' notice, it won't be possible to move the deposit to another appointment. If you fail to show up to your appointment without making contact, you are liable to pay 100% of the treatment cost, and the balance will be taken from the card used to book. I hope this policy makes sense — when I book your appointment, I set that time aside just for you, turning away other clients to do so. Like any small business owner, I also have bills to pay, and last-minute cancellations affect that directly. Thank you for understanding and for respecting this policy.
What if I'm running late? Please let me know as soon as you can. Depending on how full the schedule is, I'll do my best to fit you in, but your session may need to run shorter so the next client isn't affected.
Do you offer gift certificates? Yes. Gift certificates can be purchased for any treatment or a set monetary value, and are valid for 6 months from the date of purchase.

Are there any reasons I shouldn't book a treatment? Some conditions mean a treatment needs to be adapted or isn't suitable, including pregnancy, recent surgery, certain skin conditions, active infections, or specific allergies. I will always ask to fill out a consultation form before the appointment, but feel free to contact me beforehand if you’re concern.
What should I tell you before my session? Please let me know about any medical conditions, injuries, allergies (particularly to essential oils), or medications that might affect your treatment. This helps me tailor the session safely to you.
Is this covered by health insurance? Some private health insurers do cover holistic therapies. It's worth checking directly with your provider, as this varies.

Why do I need to fill in a consultation form before my treatment? Before the day of your session, I'll ask you to fill in a consultation form — and I'd really encourage you not to hold anything back here. It's the best way for me to understand your health history, any injuries, conditions, or sensitivities, and what you're hoping to feel by the end of the session, whether that's deep rest, easing tension, or simply a moment to breathe. Please don't leave anything out, even if it feels minor or unrelated — every detail helps me care for you properly and choose the right oils, pressure, and approach for your body that day. A few honest minutes on this form means you can fully relax, knowing your treatment has been shaped around you.
What should I wear? Depends on treatment — loose, comfortable clothing for most, bare in mind that the oils and herbal powders may stain bright coloured fabrics, so darker and older is better to wear after the treatment.
Is there anything I need to bring? Just yourself and a water bottle to stay hydrated after the session.
-
How might I feel afterwards? It's common to feel deeply relaxed, sometimes a little tired, occasionally emotional — these are all normal responses as the body and mind settle. Drinking plenty of water afterwards is recommended.
Is there any aftercare I should follow? Yes, I will always give you an individual aftercare advice after the session.
-
Where are you based? I work from 3 different studios - Stokes Croft BS2, Horfield BS7 and Westbury on Trym BS9. I can also be flexible with location, so do reach out if you'd like to discuss options that work for you.
What days are you open? I work Monday, Thursday afternoon and Friday, with some Saturdays available too. If you're hoping to book a Saturday, please get in touch to check availability, as these slots are more limited.
What payment methods do you accept? Your treatment will have to be confirmed with a deposit of 50% of the treatment price on the booking. The remaining amount can be paid by cash or card.
